Key Responsibilities of the Project Assistant
The selected candidate will be involved in supporting the research activities related to the study of biomarkers in aquatic systems.
- Fieldwork: Collecting water, sediment, and fish samples from various aquatic systems.
- Data Analysis: Analyzing samples for pollutants and biomarkers.
- Reporting: Assisting in writing research papers and reports based on findings.

Eligibility Criteria for SKUAST Jammu Recruitment 2025

- Experience: Prior experience in environmental research or laboratory work related to water and aquatic systems would be beneficial but not mandatory.

SKUAST Jammu Recruitment 2025: Salary
The selected candidate will receive a consolidated monthly salary of ₹20,000. This amount will not be subject to any other allowances, and the position is purely project-based, meaning that it is temporary and coterminous with the project’s duration.

- Temporary Engagement: The position is temporary and coterminous with the project. Once the project ends, the position will automatically be terminated without any further obligation for permanent employment.
- Performance-Based Extension: The project assistant’s tenure may be extended based on performance, but there is no guarantee of further extension beyond the project period.
- Termination: The appointment can be terminated at any time by the university without prior notice, especially in cases of non-performance or violation of terms and conditions.
- No TA/DA: No travel allowance (TA) or dearness allowance (DA) will be paid to candidates for attending the interview.
- Joining Time: The selected candidate is expected to join within one week of receiving the offer.
- Non-regular Nature of the Post: The position does not offer any entitlement for regularization or absorption into permanent posts within SKUAST Jammu.
